Our primary held a bike rodeo last Saturday. They had a clinic in helmet safety and how to properly fit a helmet. It was some very useful information, and I learned that my kids' helmets were not properly fitted. Now they also know that wearing helmets is much safer (because they don't believe it if only Mom says it). They had a bicycle officer come and speak to them on safety and bicycle laws as well. They then showed them how to properly brake, how to look behind them without turning the bike, etc. It was very useful info., and I'm glad we went, even in the smoldering heat!
We all enjoyed the popsicles and were glad they had plenty of water to drink!
Even Olivia participated!
Notice the fit of the helmet - not correct, but she now has a new helmet, with a unicorn on it!
