A friend of ours invited us to the annual Days of '47 parade this year. We hadn't been since Ryker was a baby, so we decided to brave the crowds and risk getting a sunny spot. Our friends go to this spot every year and get shade, they said, and this year was no different! It was great, and the kids had a lot of fun. They sat through the entire thing and didn't complain (at least not very much). Good thing we had lots of snacks and drinks. We had been to the float preview, so we knew what many of the floats were going to look like, but it was still neat seeing them come down the street. Ryker missed it, because he was visiting with Grandma and Chase in Idaho. Doug was working, so it was just the girls.
This was one of my favorite floats. They were playing "Give Said the Little Stream" on the ipod.
This is Arnold Frieberg, of the Ten Commandments and Book of Mormon pictures fame. He is in his 90's! We couldn't get a good picture of President Monson, bummer!
