Easter in Idaho

This year was the first year that we spent Easter in Idaho. It was a lot of fun. We drove up Thursday afternoon and visited that night. Friday night we decided to get a babysitter and go to dinner and a movie. This was the first time we've ever done date night with Doug's family. It was fabulous! One little hiccup - the babysitter (who by the way, the kids ADORE!) called half way through the movie and said Ryker threw up. Lovely. We got home, most everyone was asleep and no other incidents with Ryker (thank goodness).

Saturday morning we went to Bailey (the babysitter's house) to see their baby bunnies. She also has horses, a goat, and a miniature Australian Shepherd that can do lots of tricks. The city kids were so impressed!

Ryker wasn't too sure about holding the bunny (or about getting his picture taken with the bunny)
Grace the animal lover had no problem! (That's Bailey in the back ground)

Olivia even wanted to hold one. They were so soft and cuddly!
After the farm, we took Grace into urgent care. She had been running a little fever and complained of a sore throat. Yep...it was strep. I think every time we go to Idaho, one of our kids gets sick :( She got a shot, because she has a hard time taking medicine. She started feeling better just in time for Easter.
We colored eggs!

Each child colored a dozen eggs that the Easter Bunny would hide the next day.

Ryker experimenting with the tie dye kit.

Sunday we went to church. Doesn't he look like a miniature missionary?

Our beautiful Grace.

And lovely Olivia.
After church, we had a nice lunch, and then a big egg hunt. This is the letter the Easter Bunny left.
Ryker and Chase reading the note and looking at the eggs they were suppose to collect. Each child got a different kind of plastic egg (so there was no confusion).

Olivia found all of her eggs!

Grace found all of here eggs!
Ryker found his eggs, too, but managed to get away from the camera. After the egg hunt, the kids got to see what the Easter Bunny brought. They were all candied out and we headed for home. It was a great weekend, and we are so thankful for our wonderful family in Idaho. I am so blessed to have such wonderful, generous, loving and caring inlaws. They are the best!

I wish that you had a repeat button on your playlist. Sarah keeps interrupting my Jenson blog fix by asking me to play "Popcorn Popping" again and again. It is just not a long enough song:). At least she is letting me type (which is obvious because this is so long:).

Ryker's and Grace's pictures are my favorites, for opposite reasons. Grace looks gorgeous.

I love the Easter egg hunt idea.

I am from Idaho, and we were always sick with strep. I think that is what made us so strong and good looking...maybe.:)
