We were SOOOOO excited that supercross came back to Salt Lake!!! We had our tickets when they first came on sale and had been anticipating it every since. Friday night we heard that Chad Reed (the guy we were hoping to win the title this year) was at a local Suzuki shop, so we sauntered in, not knowing if we would see him or not. We got there about 40 minutes before he was suppose to show. The line was short, so we took turns staying in line. They served soda, hot dogs and popcorn, so the kids were entertained (plus they got to climb all over 4 wheelers and motorcycles, what more could a kid want?) We got to meet Chad Reed, Mike Alessi, and Ryan Dungee, get their autographs and take a picture (on the camera phone). It was pretty great.

Saturday morning it was cold and rainy (much to our dismay). We knew that it would still be great, despite being cold and wet. We tried to prepare with as much layering as we could. Ryker and Douglas went up early, around 12:30 or so. Ryker wanted to get as many autographs as he could, and he got A LOT! His jacket was covered, he got plenty of posters, and many other trinkets given out by the Air Force, a dog food company, Monster, etc.. I went up a couple of hours later, knowing that I could look around the pits in Vegas and it would be nicer weather (crossing my fingers). The races were great, although one practice was canceled due to the weather. I felt a little gyped, but oh well. There was some questionable action taken by one of Bubba Stewart's teammates (Chad's rival), and Chad finished second. The crowd was not happy. Reed was down by 6 points going into Vegas, not an impossible feat to come back, but not very likely either. We still weren't giving up.
